Summer Nursery and Preschool

Each Sunday this summer,  we need three adult or young adult volunteers to serve our nursery and preschool children.  Would you consider signing up to help a couple of Sundays this summer so that we can continue to pour into the next generation?
Instructions
  • The photo will be taken outside the cafeteria in front of the school.
  • Please enter through our regular Sunday entrance doors. Then proceed straight down the hall to the blue curtain and turn right to exit the building for the parish photo.
  • Chairs will be provided for those who need them.
  • Taller people need to line up nearest the exterior of the building.
  • When the photo is taken, be sure you can see the camera.
  • After the photo, re-enter the building through the way you came. The children will proceed directly to Sunday School.

In case of rain, we'll take the photo in the cafeteria on the stage.

Father’s Day & Birthday
Greeting Card Collection

St. John’s Parish Church is collecting Father’s Day cards and birthday cards for the Charleston County Youth Detention Center. The cards give the youth a chance to send cards to their family members. Please consider donating 1 or 2 cards. Appropriate Father’s Day cards include: Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother and birthday cards for all possibilities (parents, grandparents, sister, brother, uncle, aunt and friend). Please drop your cards off in the front hallway in the Father’s Day Collection bin. The final collection day is Sunday, June 4.
Please remember to continue your prayers for the youth. Thank you!

Prayer for our Parish

Dear Heavenly Father,
Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone.
In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit.
Through Your wisdom may we discern where You want us to be;
Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit,
Amen.
